James Nicholson

James has worked continuously in the film and television industry since 1984, beginning as an audio and video technician in Charlottetown PEI.

Moving to Halifax, he worked in may areas of the burgeoning industry in Nova Scotia. His experience over the years included managing the first film equipment rental house in Atlantic Canada, and working freelance in the lighting and grip departments before deciding on production management and line producing for both live action and animation television productions. James has extensive board of directors’ experience, including the following: Screen Nova Scotia, Halifax Lancers Equestrian School, Directors Guild of Canada Atlantic Council, Linda Joy Media Arts Society and the Atlantic Filmmakers Coop.

James has moved back to PEI, and now lives in Mermaid with partner Joëlle.
