1) It is now mandatory in the Province of PEI to have workers compensation for all employees and contractual employees working on a film/video production or photography shoot. This pertains to everyone with the exception of actors, entertainers or performers etc. as per POLICY #74 (Section 2). LINK The production company has to register with WCB prior to the shoot. The minimum fee is $50 and increase based on the number of crew and number of days.
(2) Actors and Performers are not covered under WCB, and therefore the productions have to apply for Accident on Set Insurance.

(4) Federal and provincial governments now require producers to show WCB documents.
